West Introduces 2012 WR1000 Aero Upgrade

West Race Cars Australia have released a new aero upgrade for the WR1000A, 1 litre car. The upgrade comprises a new E-glass composite floor, carbon fibre front diffuser and massive rear diffuser. The new carbon fibre wing is set lower and is 50% wider and is designed to work with the floor. Testing late last season has shown a 2.5 - 3 second lap time improvement.

The West WR1000A is powered by Suzuki or Kawasaki engines that produce 175hp @ 12,500 RPM, the West WX10-1340 is powered by Suzuki Hayabusa develops 197hp @ 10,800RPM.

Obtains speeds of over 275 km/h and pulls over 3Gs of force during high speed turns.

Extremely neutral handling characteristics with “center of pressure” positioned under the driver.

Safety roll hoops over driver body and knees.

6-point safety harness with full HANS support.

Fire safety system with quick pull handle.
