About West Race Cars

Established in 2005, West Motorsport Australia Pty Ltd (WMA) is the sole Asia Pacific distributor for US based West Race Cars LLC, Atlanta USA.

WMA Director, Greg Steer was one of the original consortium who purchased West Race Cars LLC in Portland Oregon, USA in 2005. Greg was involved in the specification and production of the first Au spec WR1000 which was brought into Australia in 2006. That car won every race contested in the first 2 years piloted by Tom Drewer. In late 2008 Greg's son, rookie driver Aaron Steer tested and became the factory driver for 2009. Despite no previous motor sport experience, Aaron competed in 5 of the 6 NSW SuperSport rounds, winning 4 out of 5 contested in 2009. In 2010 Aaron spent most of the year developing the all new 1340cc WX10, winning 3 of the 4 meeting entered in 2010.

WMA administration is based Eastwood SA, with our 500sqm workshop 3km from Adelaide CBD in Hindmarsh SA. WMA offers full race car maintenance, preparation and logistics in it's well equipped, modern workshop. WMA operates a race team comprising car owner and lease drive customers plus a factory car. WMA has a large inventory of parts consumables for West WR1000 & WX10, ensuring our customers are back on the track in no time.

West also offer at track support at Sports Racer rounds with most spare parts available.
